While the deposit-operations regulations aren’t on fire, requirements such as Regulation E, DD, UDAP and E-Sign are always simmering just below the surface. During this one-hour conference, we will detail recent regulatory actions affecting the deposit operation function, discuss some of the environmental challenges community banks are facing in the deposit services arena, including competitive pressures that impact consumer deposit behaviors and needs. We will also review specific chronic areas that we identify for improvement in many audits. Finally, as a bonus, we will share a short vocabulary lesson on account management language so that you can interpret your examiner requests better. Throughout the session, we will provide best practice recommendations learned from community banks across the country.
